Businesses Face New Employment Laws in 2018

Santa Barbara-based shareholder Jeff Dinkin was quoted at length in the Pacific Coast Business Times in an article entitled “Businesses face new employment laws in 2018.” Among other things, Jeff addressed new legislation prohibiting asking job applicants about their salary history, prohibiting asking about criminal conviction until after a condition job offer is made, and new legislation addressing an employer’s responsibilities in connection with workplace investigations by federal immigration agents.
