InsurTech’s Avinew Raises $5M in Seed Funding with Stradling’s Assistance

Stradling advised Avinew, the InsurTech company focused on insurance for self-driving cars and similar vehicles, in raising $5 million in seed funding. The deal was announced Jan. 30.
Ryan B. Azlein, a Stradling shareholder in Santa Monica, led the firm’s team. He received support from associate Evan H. McCormick of the same office.
The investment was led by Crosscut, with participation from American Family Ventures, Draper Frontier and RPM Ventures.
