Kristin focuses on the environmental aspects of M&A transactions including, health and safety (EHS) risk evaluation, due diligence, regulatory compliance counseling, remediation, real estate, and renewable energy transactional negotiations. She has drafted disclosures for IPOs and other SEC filings, and more recently has assisted clients with greenhouse gas and supply chain sustainability process audits. In addition to most U.S. states, Kristin has also assisted clients with matters in countries around the world (primarily the EU, Brazil, India and China).

Kristin's EHS experience spans more than 20 years, maximizing business opportunities and minimizing EHS risk. She is an expert in spotting potential issues and adverse contract language, developing strategic representations and warranties, and drafting indemnities to match the complexity of identified environmental issues. Prior to coming to Stradling, Kristin served as a senior attorney with Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLC in Washington, DC, where she spent more than 12 years of her career in the firm's Corporate Law practice group.
Kristin possesses two science degrees and a juris doctor degree. Before becoming a lawyer in Washington DC, she served as a manager for several high profile governmental projects ranging from nearly a decade in Antarctica managing the National Science Foundation’s research and environmental compliance matters, to several years as Park Biologist in the Everglades National Park. She also served in the White House Council for Environmental Quality successfully shepherding a Presidential Order governing environmental impact of US trade policy through a multi-agency rule writing and contentious stakeholder process.
