Mayant earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine, School of Law, where she served as a research fellow for Lawyering Skills and a staff editor for the UC Irvine Law Review. While in law school, Mayant received the Dean’s Award for earning the second highest grade in Lawyering Skills and graduated magna cum laude as part of the top 12.5 percent of her class. Mayant also worked within UC Irvine’s Domestic Violence Clinic, representing domestic violence survivors in restraining order, custody, divorce, immigration, and termination of parental rights cases.
