Steven M. Hanle is the chair of Stradling's Intellectual Property practice group.
Steve's practice emphasizes patent infringement litigation and other intellectual property litigation.
He litigates patent cases in a broad variety of technologies, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, computer hardware and software, electrical, telecommunications, optical, and mechanical. He represents both patent owners and accused infringers and also has experience in trade secret and unfair competition litigation, trademark litigation and complex business litigation, primarily in federal courts. He has substantial trial experience and has briefed and argued before the Federal Circuit, the ninth Circuit and the California Court of Appeals. He also regularly advises clients on risks and strategies relating to litigation and dispute avoidance, particularly in intellectual property.
Steve has been named a "Southern California Super Lawyer" for 2009-2013 and 2015-16. He was named a "Rising Star" in 2004.
