Stradling coached AGRO Merchants Group, a cold storage and logistics specialist, in its acquisition of Cool-Pak Solutions LP in Long Beach. The deal closed May 6, with no financial details released.
Santa Monica shareholder Jeff L. Kateman led the Stradling team along with Newport Beach shareholders Jason Lee, Ryan C. Gaglio, Karla J. Kraft and Joseph W. Haney and Santa Barbara of counsel Kristin Larson. Associates Jon R. Krane and John M. Wicker rounded out the team.
AGRO, headquartered in Schipol, Netherlands and Alpharetta, Georgia, is backed by Oaktree Capital Management. The acquisition expands the company’s service capabilities on the West Coast and reinforces its position in fresh produce repacking operations.
Cool-Pak Solutions provides storage and repacking services from a 175,000-square-foot facility within the overweight corridor at the Port of Long Beach.
