Tania Ingman is Of Counsel in Stradling's Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice group.

Tania’s practice focuses on the full spectrum of restructuring solutions both in and out of court including corporate reorganization, workouts, bankruptcy, foreclosures, secured transactions, and commercial law and related litigation in the municipal, technology, media, real estate, healthcare, financial, banking and retail sectors. She has represented corporate debtors, creditors, official and ad hoc creditor committees, unions and other stakeholders in Chapter 9, 11 and 15 cases in courts throughout the country, including the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the: Central District of California, District of Arizona, Southern District of New York, District of Delaware, District of Louisiana, and Eastern District of Virginia (Richmond Division), and Northern District of Mississippi.

On the debtor side, Tania has advised a number of small to mid-sized companies in all phases of chapter 11 proceedings, from counseling clients on various issues related to out-of-court restructuring, foreclosure and workout options, to bankruptcy preparedness and filing and on through successful emergence. On the creditor side, Tania has represented a number of hedge funds, private equity funds, banks, institutional clients, unions and other stakeholders in landmark chapter 11 cases, such as:

  • American Air Lines (Transportation Workers Union)
  • Tribune Media Co. (lender)
  • Northwest Air Lines (aircraft lessor)
  • Lyondell Chemical Co. (secured and unsecured creditor)
  • Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., et al. (various bank creditors)
  • Mirant (agent for lender syndicate)

In addition, Tania has counseled clients as purchasers in Bankruptcy Code Section 363 sales, chapter 11 plan sales and out-of-court asset sales, as well as counseling a variety of creditors in other out-of-court restructuring matters.

While in law school, Tania clerked for the Honorable David J. Trager, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York. After law school, Tania clerked from the Honorable Adlai S. Hardin, Jr., U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York.
