Land Use and Zoning

The land use attorneys at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth are experienced and well versed in all facets of the land use planning and entitlement process, including general and specific plans and amendments, requirements under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and California Coastal Act, requirements under federal environmental, air-quality and endangered species laws and regulations, water and natural resources issues, and cultural and historical preservation issues. Attorneys in this group work closely with those in the firm’s redevelopment, eminent domain, and public finance groups to move public land use projects to timely completion. In addition, the firm’s litigation group is on hand to defend against constitutional challenges, writs of mandate, challenges to project approvals or denials, challenges to impact fees, or any other claims or litigation that may arise.
