At Stradling, we place a premium on hiring highly experienced attorneys to complement our existing practice groups. We evaluate lateral candidates based on skill, personality, judgment and character. Preference is given to attorneys from large law firms who have experience compatible with our practice areas. Indeed, many of our attorneys joined us from national law firms, because they found that Stradling offered an attractive platform to pursue the latter stage of their careers.
The decision to leave another legal position and join Stradling is an important one for you and for the firm. We do our best to ensure that each lateral hire makes sense long-term for the new attorney and the firm, because we want all of our lateral attorneys to succeed (and stay) at Stradling. To help realize this goal, we strive to assist lateral associates by integrating them within the firm and helping them develop professionally. We offer mentoring to help associates strengthen their skills and client relationships. We also provide training on client development, running deals and cases, and the keys to making partner.
