San Diego---(June 01, 2009) Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, one of Southern California's leading corporate law firms, is pleased to announce the expansion of its San Diego office. Commencing June 1, the law firm will operate out of its new, expanded office in the University Towne Centre area. The new office space, located at 4365 Executive Drive, Suite 1500, is more than double the size of Stradling's previous location in San Diego's Carmel Valley. Stradling's San Diego office, which specializes in the corporate and litigation practice areas, has grown significantly since it first entered the San Diego market in 2006. The firm is seeing an uptick in legal work from local, early-stage and midsize companies seeking quality legal counsel at reasonable fees, according to Hayden Trubitt, one of the office's shareholders. Stradling is excited about the prospect of moving to UTC. The firm has been successfully expanding its brand in San Diego as its clients demand it. "We see continuing opportunities for growth as companies seek experienced and cost-effective alternatives to some of our corporate-law competitors," Trubitt said. More San Diego companies are finding that a strong regional firm like Stradling makes better sense today than a national law firm, according to Trubitt. The firm's expansion is a rare bright spot in the current economic environment, which has made it especially difficult for law firms to maintain financial stability. While many national competitors are shrinking, Stradling is looking to grow its headcount firm-wide. As part of the process, Stradling plans to recruit more partner-level attorneys in San Diego this year. The new office spans 9,500 square feet.
